Adam Pink Depression Glass Platter 11.75" Jeannette 1932-1934 Art Deco Nouveau

Just unpacked from a box packed away 25-30 years ago comes this beautiful platter in the "Adam" pattern of Depression Glass.  This stunning rectangular pink platter measures 11 3/4 inches long, almost 12 inches.  The "Adam" pattern was manufactured by the Jeannette Glass Company of Jeannette, Pennsylvania from 1932-1934, only two years.  This is a really stunning pattern and not so easy to locate these days.  I identified this pattern in the book "Collector's Encyclopedia of Depression Glass" by Gene & Cathy Florence (copyright 2004, 16th edition).  According to the Florences, "Adam has Deco era shapes including triangles, squares, and linear lines, combined with a kind of Art Nouveau scrolled center motif of fern-like leaves surrounded by a festoon of petite flowers."  They also mention that it is one of the most collected patterns of Depression Glass based on the number of questions that they get about the pattern each year.  The condition of this platter is VERY GOOD with beautiful clarity and barely any scratches or marks.  There is one tiny miniscule mark on one of the corners which catches your fingernail - I hesitate to call it a chip.  It measures less than 1/16th of an inch.  I showed it in the last 3 pictures but it is not easy to see.  There is minimal shelfware on the bottom of the platter - where it sat over the years.  All in all, a beautiful piece with an inner rim that is absolutely perfect!!  You will be pleased with this piece!!  Please see the photos, check my feedback, and ask any questions before making a purchase.  You will be well-pleased with this piece!!
